  With respect to how she became attached to Marc’s show, perhaps Dina can be likened to the guests in “The Exterminating Angel”?

  As far as Richard Gere goes…Marc said something to the effect that the gerbil incident happened, but to someone other than Gere. He mentioned Snopes as a reference. Here is the Snopes page; it begins by stating:
  

  Contrary to widespread public belief,”gerbil-stuffing” is unknown as an actual sexual practice, nor are we aware of a verified medical case of a gerbil having been extracted from a patient’s rectum…

  So if there’s any truth to any of this, you’ll have to cite a source other than Snopes.

  So, Marc making jokes about Gay Danny is homophobic, but Dina making jokes about Al Rantel’s “throat problems” is ok?

  Really with Marc would have called her out on that, especially after the previous night’s ridiculous dust-up.

  Listening to the beginning of this show, it’s clear Dina is under some kind of “Stockholm Syndrome” or something. The more Marc abuses her, the more her affection and devotion to him grows. She twists Marc’s tyrannical rule over the show into some kind of sado-masochistic ritual. From the middle of nowhere, Marc can’t find anyone to go on the show with him closer than New York City. And he expects callers with this display of abusive behavior?
