When Kate was thirty-three years old, a married Mom whose daughters Rachel and Stephanie were 18 months and 3 years old respectively, she suffered a massive stroke, paralyzing her from head to toe. Today, Kate’s left arm remains paralyzed, walking is still a major effort and stroke-resultant depression is a frequent visitor.
