Marc & Dina thought President Obama did a great job and that Candidate Romney blew it.

Romney has said government does not create jobs. Then he says that when he’s president, he’ll create jobs. When he is president, he’ll be government. So then he’s saying government (through the president) will create jobs. Maybe Romney isn’t planning to be president of the government, but rather a corporate president.
Rod mentions that military contracted jobs ended after the Gulf War (91). The reason those jobs ended is that (1) the cold war had just ended a couple of years earlier, and (2) the spectacle of the US’s elephant gun of a military pounding rendering Sadam’s military impotent in front of the world press’ cameras live showed just how over-invested and under contested in the world the US is. Tax payers had lost the Reagan and cold war fear mongering fueled perceived need to pour massive funds and resources into a military that no longer seemed to have a reason to be so massively funded.
As far as Romney’s stated mission to create jobs for Americans. If he does believe that government does not create jobs, but multibillionaire industrialists and investors do, perhaps he should remain just that and stay out of government where he says there is no capacity to create jobs – for Americans – in America.
Whatid they say? I fell asleep. I really did! FUCK!
One more good reason to have podcasts supplementing live shows.

Rod: Sleep sound. We don’t need battlewaggons anymore. We have satellites. If they are taken out, we have surveillance planes. We have nukes and missiles enough to make any sub or surface vessel the Chinese might ever build (they have almost nothing but manpower and AK-47s now) a feint memory. The major enemy of humanity now is sheer numbers of us hairless apes consuming the earth’s biomass and excreting it out until all our water sources are fouled and the skies rain acid and unfiltered solar radiation until we all starve, fall ill, die and our dessicated caucuses are scattered to all corners of the world by a global dusbbowl. To the Chinese’ credit, they have addressed their population explosion.
So how can it be fair when all three debates had Liberal moderators?
Well that’s why the ignorant right needs their own Conservopedia, instead of Wikipedia like the rest of the (liberal?) world has. They need their own facts. Problem with debates though is that there is no diversity on the right. No taxes – unanimous agreement. Build up the military – unanimous agreement. Eliminate social safety nets – unanimous agreement. Give corporations unfettered rights to utilize the American workforce as slaves in the old South – unanimous agreement (but keep it quiet). Start a war whenever you need an excuse to pump billions into the military industrial complex (corporations) when corporations’ bottom lines begin to sag – unanimous agreement (but dress it up as “patriotism” – and an act of anti-American terror always helps). Blame it all on liberals when all this reckless financial irresponsibility finally collapses the world’s economy – unanimous agreement (and banish anyone who discusses the details as accessing the wrong set of facts.)
Sure glad you have Rob who really knows the facts,
especially on the topic of obama care.
Obama lovers are wearing rose colored glasses…..

Fact check: from the 21:00 mark during the show, Marc said Romney didn’t want the government involved in GM’s bankruptcy. This is completely false, here is the quote from the 2nd to last sentence of Romney’s editorial, “The federal government should provide guarantees for post-bankruptcy financing and assure car buyers that their warranties are not at risk.” Marc owes Rob an apology.
Sorry, Bossfan, no apology: In the editorial, Romney said that “if General Motors, Ford and Chrysler get the bailout that their chief executives asked for yesterday, you can kiss the American automotive industry goodbye.” Romney argued that the auto companies should seek a privately financed managed bankruptcy.
I’m just happy to see Marc post here!
Dusty, dude that was a wracked out answer. One I would expect from the left twisted brain. Romney will be your next president. Better start getting used to the idea.
You’re probably right Sloopy. The country is still for sale. The billions of Romney’s personal war chest plus the millions from stealth corporate backers will buy a lot of deceitful and outright lying commercials for the uneducated masses of voters. Bad news for you though. The market always takes a plunge when a Republican takes office in anticipation of renewed economic disaster. Good time to invest in companies that make body bags, tear gas, private armies, prison construction etc.
