Im a christian, but I am not a whack job nutb born again zealot. If you are christian, catholic, protestant, mormon, or even jehovah witness you are under the umbrella of christianity.Christian are the only group that need to prove that the other groups I stated are not really christians. I think that maybe frank is going through a mid life crises, I give this thing maybe a few years. But if this makes frank happy who are we to judge. Generally people who cant manage there own lives turn to religion for guidance and hope. If you truly follow the bible, you should be against women working, and bith control. But christians have no problems with taking birth control.

Topicoff, your first post in regards to high-profile “christians” and their hypocrisy, I will tell you two things directly. 1)Of course, not everyone that claims to be christian, is a christian. 2)We are all subject to sin and it’s consequences. As far as my old show on KLOS goes, it no longer exists, so you might want to let that one go. Reminiscing is fine, but you can clearly hear by my shows on talkradioone, my place now. Lastly, FYI, Crystal Cathedral is not a biblically based Church so your second post is no surprise.

As a regular listener to the KLOS version of Frank’s Impact program I really appreciated the way Frank handled callers who would try to turn his show into a forum and conduit for religious proselytism. Frank would warn them a couple of times if they started just reading cold from scripture then, if they continued or, in one case I think the caller started ‘talking in tongues’, Frank would say “I’m just going to have to take you down.” Then Frank might put them back on for a few seconds and if they were still blathering biblicaly, he’d ax the call.

There are plenty of dedicated Christian radio broadcasts and way too many absolutely evangelistic TV programs – regularly changing out their ‘personalities’ when they get caught fornicating their anesthetized secretary or indulging the local gay escort service while packing cocaine into their nostrils. Anyone wanting to subject themselves to that has plenty of choices.

really? honestly? Where IS God in all of this? I ask myself is there God? Am I right with God? I have thoughts but I am pretty sure they are my own thoughts. How do you know God’s word from your own? You keep saying the same thing but I don’t hear any evidence other than your own self-delusion. If God could speak to me or you it would be clear. If He can guide us through these “bad times”, how is he doing it in a way that can be observed, measure, verified. I have always been open to change and figurign this thing called life out. I cannot honestly say I am right with God because I don’t know that He exists. I’m not atheist because it is popular, and I’m not atheist because I want to sin and do whatver I want. I don’t see evidence of God. You act like it’s so obvious but obviously its not. That’s all I have to say. If it changes I will tell you.

evolution is a word used by spiritual seekers(which I recently considered myself) which has nothing to do with actual evolution as scientific theory which explains how we got here. you can’t make evolution happen by thinking or imagining it. It is happening already.

My examples? I’m going to assume your vague reference is to the Taliban = Christians. I stand by the comparison. Many identifying as Christians would destroy all material relating to ‘competing’ ‘spiritual’ ideologies. As far as human vs. JC vs. Pro. Making a show about making meth is high falutin’ comedy.

IT’s too bad that panhandlers outside of the 7-11 that constantly ask me for change can’t see it.

Breaking Bad is about as far away from “depressing” as you can get. The acting, writing, directing, and photography is superior to everything else on TV, and the show is sharply funny.

You guys are missing something truly special by taking a pass on Breaking Bad. Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul’s performances are as good as television has ever seen.

It’s common for simple employment agreements to provide for breach for violations of law.

Employers will tend to offer this broad and vague language; I would encourage employees to modify agreements to include the term ‘gross’ violations of law.

So Pro, the Taliban blowing up Buddhas carved into the sides of mountains in Afghanistan and the communist Chinese (that’s right Walmart’s main source is the commies) destroying Tibet and sending the Dali Lama running for his life are all fine when the idol you worship is jealous. I’m sure the Taliban and commie Chinese all feel fine about the lives they’re living and perfectly justified by their “higher power” for the graven images they’ve removed from our helpless human eyes and sensitivities. I just watched the video. Twice. Have not heard the podcast yet as I want to be as unbiased as possible. That song is AWESOME. It is a throwback to the classic soul of the 60′s. Cee-Lo Green is by far the most underrated singer of our generation. I have read comparisons to Al Green and Marvin Gaye. “Who’s Gonna Save My Soul” is vocally one of the most powerful things I have ever heard. That song drips with emotion only becuse Cee-lo is singing it. This song is just an extension of some of the themes he has worked on before in Gnarls Barkley. As a white guy I find the term Nigga to be a non issue. It is the intent with which we use words that make them hurtful. I call my brother Fag all the time. He’s not gay, I don’t even use the word to suggest that he may be gay. He act’s like a fag sometimes. I won’t use the term Nigga any more than I will use the term “N” word. It means the same thing. What am going to do, say “look at the dirty Nword.” It would mean the same thing. Intent is everything and hypersensitivity is what is our collective problem. Bitches Ain’t Shit by Dr. Dre is far worse in content but I don’t hear a whole bunch about that. To illustrate my problem with this whole Nword thing. Larry King talking to Dr. Laura refered to whites as “Non N word People”. Really? Is that what it has come to? To make a feeble old man get caught up in the use of a word to discribe a word that can’t be mentioned. Insanity. Good song. Grow up. Peace out my N words.

Marc, CeeLo is one black man. Just because HE said ni**er instead of ni**a means nothing. And Yes,the term is often pronounced “Gold digga” in rap songs. Have you ever listened to Kanye’s once chart topping song by that name, Mr. Hipster? Neither Kanye nor Jaime Fox pronounce the Rs. I know no one cares, but many blacks don’t use the word in any form, don’t allow their kids to use it and are offended when anyone uses it, including other blacks. The “r” versus “a” argument is seen as crap by a notable amount of blacks. I can’t believe this conversation is still going on in 2010, but whatever. We’ll all evolve eventually.
