March 16, 2010 – 9:01 pm

Rob Marinko filled in for the high-rollin’ Marc Germain, with a little help from Dina Losito. Dan Avey had the good taste to stay away from the show tonight leaving Rob and Dina alone to discuss such philosophical topics as the earthquakes, Tijuana, taxes, how the devil went down to the Vatican, and Rob asking that musical question, are sparkly shirts gay? Only in a bath house.

Steve Parker’s World Racing Roundup, 3/14/10

March 14, 2010 – 6:01 pm

NASCAR has been underway for what seems like months now, but this is a truly big racing weekend … IndyCar and Formula 1 both launch their 2010 seasons, F1 in Bahrain and the US open-wheelers on a new street course in Sao Paulo , Brazil . F1 still rakes in billions, while IndyCar continues their losing association with Versus cable, a 10-year deal which guarantees continued low viewership for the series (four races, including the Indy 500, will be on ABC-TV this year).

Steve Parker’s The Car Nut, 3/13/10

March 13, 2010 – 12:01 pm

Not only has Toyota become the butt of millions of jokes while buyers avoid their sales lots, but local news seems obsessed with reporting on any Toyota involved in any accident. Is this fair? The Orange County (CA) District Attorney has filed suit against Toyota for knowingly endangering the public with defective products. Where will it all end? Does Toyota stand a chance of ever recovering their market share and, most especially, their reputation? And Congress is taking a hard luck at the Bush Administration’s version of NHTSA … like Wall Street and the SEC, did W’s NHTSA look the other way as evidence against Toyota mounted? This plus the latest on Hummer, Saab, Ford and all the rest

Marc Germain, 3/12/10

March 12, 2010 – 10:01 pm

While the show started out innocently enough we rapidly spiraled downward into filth, smut and locker room humor. Dan Avey made a surprising revelation and not to be outdone, Marc Germain took the ball and ran with it. Regan Burns joined in to review ‘The Green Zone’, but by then it was just too late for that. Tune in to find out which Not-Ready-For-Pay-Radio-Players not only had their hoses cut, but donated a piece of themselves for science.

Marc Germain, 3/11/10

March 11, 2010 – 10:01 pm

We began the night trying to define snorkeling, and Plasma vs. LCD. Regan Burns phoned in from the set of some TV show where he’s guest starring. He had to cut his segment short when he was called to the set for his dramatic arc in the story – being shot with a canon full of cheese. Pure Shakespere and pure irony. Dan Avey finished the evening out not know if ‘lethargy addiction’ is a real affliction, yet certain he has it, lesbian prom drama, and Dina Losito’s same-sex partner-friend beat the snot out of German to win the Oscar Pool. Eat that Croc-Boy!

Dan Avey, respected and honored newsman, Dina Losito, disrespected and bitchy correspondent and Marc did their level best to wrap up the Oscars, while reviewing movies that came out months ago, sputtering through a few news stories and discovered a prevailing malaise in the group. Basically, this show was a hot mess and we won’t hold it against you if you decide to skip over this broadcast. Brighter days lay ahead.

Steve Parker’s World Racing Roundup, 2/28/10

February 28, 2010 – 6:01 pm

NASCAR had its Disaster at Daytona followed by last week’s normally boring race at California Speedway, where Jimmy Johnson started what he hopes (and probably is) a massive streak of victories. This weekend: Las Vegas, home track of Kurt and Kyle Busch. IndyCar opens its season in two weeks on a new street course in Sao Paulo , Brazil and Formula 1 gears up the same weekend in Bahrain and there are plenty of changes in both series we’ll cover. Plus Danica Patrick gives up NASCAR.
