At the top of the main page, where it says “call into the show”. That’s probably not what’s intended. To call “into” the show, a caller would have to actually physically arrive at (into) the show. That implies teleporatation which I don’t believe exists.

What is most likely intended is “Call in to the show.” It’s a common mistake.

    About that Catwoman…

Okay, Anne Hathaway. Serious question: Did she do anything feline? I didn’t see a catwoman; I saw a catburglarwoman. At least Michelle Pfeiffer played it as a cat. Had fun with it. We all remember “Meow”. What do we remember about Anne Hathaway?

Someone help me out here. I am flashing back to a childhood memory — or was it a prepubescent fantasy? — of the old Batman (Adam West) TV show. One of the bad guys — the Penguin, I think — had bought out or somehow taken control of the local television station. He was going to make changes to the program material. Give the people what they want. For starters, a live broadcast in which Catwoman is to dance naked. The show’s about to start. Catwoman stands on the sidelines, strategically concealed behind a sheet. In the nick of time, Batman and Robin rush in! Stop this travesty! Batman appeals to the Penguin’s core of decency. “Think of the children,” he pleads. Penguin assures Batman that he (Batman) has been misinformed. There’s no truth to the awful rumor that Catwoman will dance naked on television. The Penguin calls out for apparel. A flunky rushes over, holding a pillow upon which rests a pair of earrings. Penguin hands these to Catwoman, who demurely receives them behind her sheet. There! Now she’s ready. The Penguin asks Batman if he’s satisfied with the arrangement.

Then something happens to preempt the broadcast, but I don’t remember what.

That sounds like a fine fantasy for a young male, but I really don’t think I’m making it up. I’m pretty sure the memory is real. Anyone? Bueller?
